Our Story
A family business, rooted in the community
Headquartered in San Diego, California, SWCS, Inc. (DBA Southwest Construction Services) was established in 2009 and incorporated in 2011 by founder and president Sam Smith as a CSI Division 10 Specialties contractor. In 2014, Sam was joined by his brother, Dan Smith, to expand the company's abilities as a general contractor.
Fourth-generation Lakeside, California natives, the Smith brothers carry three generations of construction experience into what Southwest Construction Services is today, a story that began with their grandfather's business, Rayco Building Specialties, in 1968.
